Twenty one years ago today, the deadliest terrorist attacks in the history of the United States shook the international peace loving community from its core.
On this solemn anniversary, we remember the tragedy of September 11 and its nearly 3000 fatal victims, including 24 Canadians and 6 Bangladeshis.
We offer our condolences to all those who lost their loved ones, and those whose lives were changed forever.
We also pay tribute to the courage, perseverance, and sacrifice of the brave first responders, including the hundreds who lost their lives while serving their community.
On behalf of the President and Fellows of Union Collegiate, I encourage those who can to honour those who lost their lives, and all those who selflessly offered their help to others on 9/11 in their own ways.
